Donation turns into theft!!!!!

Since we came here we decided to become good samaritans and try to help good causes.

So we have adopted a Tiger, that is called Kamrita. Tigers are a highly  a endangered species (http://www.worldwildlife.org/species/finder/tigers/index.html) and we give to the cause 3 pounds a month. We hope one day we can visit her. :D

We also support British Red Cross, again with 6 pounds per month, not much for them but a lot for us.

Last week I had the oppurtunity to continue or "helping the other" plan when at 1am in the night I was coming home and a guy came to talk with me. His car was clamped he said, and he had no money with him to pay the police. His wife was not at home and he needed to get home. He also told me he worked in a Dry Cleaning company 3 min from my house so I could go there and colect the money.
Well the guy was clearly suffering so I went to the Cash machine and gave him 35 pounds!!! Hes was very happy and I felt good for helping another soul.

Next day I went to the dry cleaning and asked for Ali. The reply:

- Humm, another one!!!!

A day at the Park

So yesterday we had finally a summer day (last was in April) and decided to follow the British tradition of jumping in the park. We went to spend a day with some friends at Hyde Park which had probably more people than all Cayman Islands. (not hard, as even Benfica stadium takes more than the 50k of the Islands)

If you ever heard about Speaker's corner (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speakers'_Corner) it's a place for public discussions inside Hyde Park. So the first picture you can see people standing in chairs and discussing about many subjects. One of them was discussion if Mary had sex before having Jesus, the other was discussing about the Cross used with Christ and another one was talking about how we are being judged by all our sins. But the interesting thing was that the audience was discussing heavily with the speaker. So authentic. :D

There was even time for some sport, as Sarah is showing which finished with a strawberry xixa!!! :D

Love Parade Festival

Some weeks ago we went to the crazy festival held every year in Soho, we arrived a little late but could still have some real fun around there. We missed the parade but we still found a lot of people different in every single way but united for a purpose.
Love is the solution and it's all around us!!! :D

Cayman... later!!!

This last two weeks have been of important decisions in our project. The post I applied to the Cayman Government was unsucessefull, (it was given to a local) and after some days of intensive job hunting we realized that the High Season only starts in December. Amazingly, in august and September everything is closed, including restaurants and bars. This is also due to the hurricanes season.

So because we have no alternative we have decided to apply for a job in the Cayman only in Setember for a move in late December. This means we are going to stay in London until the end of the year. (total of 13 months)

Because the plan is still short term stay, I've declined all job offers from NHS and DHL, and I'm now looking for an hospitality job. We need to keep developing further our Bartendig/Waitering skills as well as our CV.

Let's Cocktail!!!!

Table Tennis Tournament

This Friday I will play a table tennis tournament in an English Pub. I convinced my room mate Ze Mimmo from Italy to play along so we have been practicing in the park. I can't really describe how funny it is to play table tennis with wind. :D
Friday I'll tell you our result on the tournament !!! :D
